The ensemble has performed throughout Italy, receiving enormous success from both the public and critics, and has been awarded in various competitions. It features a variable lineup of four to sixteen members. The extensive repertoire encompasses musical genres ranging from classical music to the sophisticated melodies of musicals and the vibrant rhythms of tango.
Numerous important composers have written and dedicated works to Lucio and the Florence Cello Ensemble.
