A NETWORK of professionals collaborating for a single goal:

to always leave an EXPERIENCE for their audience.

This is ARMOS.

Armos is an association dedicated to creating dynamic and versatile projects through every nuance of expression in art: from musical concerts to theatrical performances; from cinema to education; from photography to painting, with the intent of organizing cultural events aimed at enhancing the works of renowned artists as well as young musicians.

The association was founded in 2022 by Andrea Volcan, a cellist who graduated with top honors in cello from the Luigi Cherubini Conservatory in Florence. He is a teacher and has won numerous national and international awards and recognitions in the musical field. Alongside his career as a musician, he is also a director and screenwriter, graduated from the National School of Independent Cinema in Florence. He has participated in the production of several documentaries such as "Il pescatore completo," "La vallata della pernice bianca," and "Il bosco cresce in silenzio e a ritmo di musica," as well as collaborating with important national and international brands like Patagonia and Cortland.

ARTISTIC DIRECTION and CONTEMPORARY MUSIC

The synergy with the Artistic Director, Lucio Labella Danzi, and the Florence Cello Ensemble, of which Lucio is concertmaster and soloist, has led to interaction with important contemporary composers, some of whom have dedicated works to the ensemble. Notable collaborations include Adriano Guarnieri, who arranged and reworked eleven fugues from J.S. Bach's The Art of Fugue, Alessandro Magini, who composed Corda Memoriae, and Salvatore Passantino, who wrote Passacaglia in C minor. Carlo Boccadoro dedicated a Trio, published by Ricordi, to the Florence String Trio, which Lucio founded.

A member of the Italian Society of Contemporary Music and the Gruppo Aperto Musica Oggi, Lucio has performed chamber music pieces by composers such as Sofia Gubaidulina, Mauricio Kagel, Luciano Berio, Luigi Nono, Franco Donatoni, Ivan Fedele, Goffredo Petrassi, Azio Corghi, Claudio Ambrosini, Vittorio Montalti, Sonia Bo, Salvatore Sciarrino, and Alessandro Solbiati.
